Woman critically injured in hit-and-run crash in Lexington

A woman was listed in critical condition Sunday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington police Lt. Chris Van Brackel said.

The woman's identity was not released. Van Brackel said the woman suffered serious injuries, particularly to the head. She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.

Police were called to 1401 Old Frankfort Pike at 6:50 p.m. Policie said they were looking for a dark car, possibly a Ford Mustang, with front-end damage on the passenger side.
