A Danville man who called police on Tuesday about a burglary was himself arrested on a charge of trying to procure a minor for sex.

Mac Douglas Yankey, 62, had called police about "a male juvenile suspect who was seen in the area" of Yankey's apartment on Sea Biscuit Drive, according to a news release from Danville police.

Officers found the boy and charged him with receiving stolen property in connection with the burglary.

"As the investigation continued, detectives with the Danville Police Department obtained a search warrant for Yankey's apartment," according to the news release.

Yankey was later arrested for prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor for sex.

He was taken to the Boyle County Detention Center.
