Lexington police search for pair after husband, wife are shot at home

November 29, 2013

Lexington police continued to search for two suspects in a Thanksgiving Day shooting that injured a husband and wife on Mirahill Drive, off Codell Drive, Lt. Mark Brand said Friday.

Lexington police told WKYT that two unknown people followed when the victims' friends arrived at the home. Those unknown people forced their way inside. There was an exchange of gunfire, police said. Authorities said the man who lives at the home was shot in the leg, and his wife was shot in the torso. Both were taken to the hospital; their conditions were not available.

Police said the couple's juvenile daughter was in the home at the time but was not injured.

Officers said the two fled after the shooting, but one might have been shot, according to WKYT. One person sought treatment at St. Joseph East Hospital but left before police arrived, WKYT reported.
