A Lexington woman has been indicted on a murder charge in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

Melinda Morgan, 34, was indicted Monday by a Fayette County grand jury.

Police said Morgan stabbed Antonio Epps, 41, in the chest at their home on Laredo Drive early Oct. 3, then she called 911.

The indictment says Epps was stabbed with a knife.

The couple had two children together. Two young children were in the home when the stabbing occurred, but they weren't hurt, police said.

Morgan is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 12 in Fayette Circuit Court.
