Bourbon County: Christmas parade is downtown Saturday

December 3, 2013

The annual Community Christmas Parade in downtown Paris will begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The parade will start at the Bourbon County High School parking lot and continue along Main Street to the Bourbon County Courthouse. Santa and Mrs. Claus will attend a holiday reception at the courthouse following the parade. Santa will help Judge Donnie Foley and Mayor Mike Thornton light the Christmas tree. Refreshments will be served inside the courthouse, where Santa and Mrs. Claus will pose for pictures with children and give them small gifts. Tickets for a country ham giveaway will be available at the reception; the winner must be present. For information, call (859) 987-8744 or email lstubblefield@parisky.com.
