Clark County: Winchester Empty Bowls is Friday; registration for nurse aide training underway

Winchester Empty Bowls will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Windridge Drive and the bypass. The community-wide hunger awareness event will raise money for Clark County Community Services. For a $15 donation, guests will be served soup in bowls made and donated by Joe Molinaro and other area potters. All proceeds will go to CCCS. For information, call Ruthi Skinner at (859) 744-8376.

Nurse training scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays

State Registered Nurse Aide Training will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays Jan. 9-March 2 at the Area Tech Center at George Rogers Clark High School, 2745 Boonesboro Road, Winchester. Students must register and pay $270 tuition by Dec. 19. Register and pay in advance at: Clark County Community Education, 24 West Lexington Avenue, Suite 220, Winchester, or call (859) 745-3946.
