Russell Springs man dies in single-car crash

A 72-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening in a one-vehicle crash in Russell County, Kentucky State Police said.

According to the Columbia KSP post, Hubert H. Eads of Russell Springs was traveling on East West Wilson Road about 6:45 p.m. when his 1997 Jeep ran off the right side of the road, went down a steep embankment and struck a tree. The crash occurred four miles east of Russell Springs.

Eads, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
