World record secret Santa

December 4, 2013

Lexington Catholic High School students held a Secret Santa gift exchange for 1,464 high school and middle school students on Wednesday in an attempt to break a 2008 record set in England.

Middle school students from area Catholic schools were bused in for the event, which took place in the school gym after Mass. Marty Brown, 17, a senior, thought of the event as a way to get the whole school involved, then realized they had a chance of breaking a world record. Three months of planning went into the event. "We worked together and just went for it, and it worked out," Brown said. He received a box of Yo-Yo Waterballs in the exchange.
