The University of Kentucky's Memorial Coliseum was selected as a host site Wednesday for NCAA Volleyball Tournament regional matches in 2015.

The assignment marks the third time in five seasons Kentucky will serve as a host site.

UK first hosted Sweet 16 and quarterfinal matches in 2011, and will do so again this weekend.

Other regional sites selected for 2015 are San Diego, Calif.; Des Moines, Iowa; and Austin, Texas. The winners from the four regional sites will advance to the Final Four in Lincoln, Neb.

UK has hosted first- and second-round matches 10 times since 1983, regional matchups twice and the Final Four in 1983.

This weekend's Sweet 16 matches in Memorial Coliseum begin Friday with Michigan State taking on Penn State at 5 p.m. and Stanford going against Minnesota at 7. The winners of those two matches meet Saturday at 4 p.m. for a berth in the Final Four.
