Montessori School students in Lexington who had raised $20,000 spent it Friday on 91 Lexington children who might not otherwise have holiday presents.

Students from Montessori Middle School of Kentucky went shopping Friday with money raised at an earlier bike-athon, said the school's administrator, Vivian Langefeld.

Eighth-grader Henry Macfarlan, 13, said he bought for a 5-old-boy "jeans and T-shirts that I would like and I thought he would like."

"We bought him some shoes and some Matchbox cars. Things that were on his list," Henry said. "I was thinking about how happy he would be waking up on Christmas morning."
