Arrest warrant issued in Lexington kidnapping, sexual assault

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Parico D. Coffey, the man wanted in Tuesday morning's kidnapping and sexual assault of a Lexington woman.

The warrant is for kidnapping, rape, sodomy and robbery, officers said in a news release Wednesday morning.

Coffey, 21, is being sought in the abduction of a woman from a Speedway gas station near Versailles Road and Alexandria Drive in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday.

Police said an armed man forced his way into the woman's car, drove her to another location and assaulted her.

The victim later managed to escape.
