A Nicholasville man is accused of stealing a vehicle Thursday from the car lot where he was fired earlier in the day, Jessamine County Chief Deputy Sheriff Allen Peel said.

Zachary Henson, 27, was charged with felony theft after he was fired from Auto Plaza USA at Vince Road and U.S. 27 in Nicholasville, Peel said.

Police found the stolen car, a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, abandoned on Cobblestone Knoll Drive in south Lexington, Peel said.

Henson was arrested Thursday night at the Howard Johnson motel in Nicholasville. He was being held in the Jessamine County jail.
