A corrections officer has been charged with third-degree rape, the Kentucky State Police said Friday.

Tasha Knuckles, 28, of Frakes, a Bell County Forestry Camp corrections officer, shared more than 50 hours of phone conversations with an inmate, according to a news release.

The camp notified the Harlan state police post about one of their employees having sexual contact with a male inmate, and the phone conversations were discovered during an investigation, the release said.

Knuckles was being held in the Bell County Detention Center.
