Pleasure Ridge Park hopes to follow the example set by Henry Clay and Louisville Trinity the past two years in the Republic Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic.

Henry Clay was the highest-rated team in the 2012 tournament, and the Blue Devils lived up to their billing by winning the title.

Trinity was the highest-rated team in the 2011 tournament, and the Shamrocks met expectations by winning the five-day event.

PRP, No. 2 in the state's pre-season ratings, will have plenty of competition this week. Eleven other teams in the top 25 are in the field at Lexington Catholic, including No. 3 Scott County, No. 6 Knott County Central, No. 8 Warren Central and No. 10 Lafayette.

Individual standouts in this year's five-day event include Knott Central junior guard Camron Justice, who poured in 62 points in a consolation game at Lexington Catholic last year; Lafayette senior Jackson Davis; Henry Clay senior Jordan Green; PRP senior LaMontray Harris; Scott County senior Trent Gilbert; Dixie Heights senior Brandon Hatton, Cordia senior Christen Cunningham, and Newport Central Catholic junior Drew McDonald.
