Girls' high school basketball

Conner, Mason County win on late threes

Brooke Maines made a three-pointer with 9 seconds left to give host Conner a 61-59 victory against Henry Clay in the State Farm Classic in Florence. Madi Meyers led the Cougars with 16 points, Hunter Hendricks had 15 and Maines scored 14.

Kerrigan Davis scored 21 for the Lady Blue Devils.

■ Mason County's McKenzie Butler hit a 30-footer as time expired to give her team a 52-51 victory over Clay County in the Sunshine Classic at Daytona Beach, Fla.

Audriana Christopher went 16-for-20 at the line and finished with 28 points and seven assists in No. 13 Scott County's 85-74 victory against No. 25 Glasgow in the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County. Danielle DeFoor added 23 points, including four three-pointers, for the Cardinals. The Lady Scotties got 26 points, 12 rebounds and fours steals from Bree Glover.

■ Sayre's Gabby Bowie scored 22 points and blocked 10 shots in Sayre's 55-21 win at Kentucky Country Day in Louisville.

Brooke Todd posted a double-double — 13 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks — and ShaKeema Jackson scored 19 points in Paul Dunbar's 49-35 win against host Montgomery County in the Gateway Holiday Classic.

Nikki Kiernan and Alexus Mayes scored 28 and 18 points, respectively, and both had nine rebounds in No. 19 Newport Central Catholic's 58-40 win against LaRue County in the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County.

Boys' high school basketball

Woodford Co. wins Greenup tourney

Eli Boggess and Sam Souers scored 21 points apiece and Grayson Graf had 20 in Woodford County's 73-66 victory against Elliott County in the championship game of the Our Lady of Bellafonte Holiday Classic at Greenup County.

■ Paul Dunbar led by 19 points heading to the fourth quarter and held on for a 79-75 victory against Worthington (Ohio) Kilbourne in the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County. Darius Williams scored a game-high 23 points for the Bulldogs, and Donnie Lewis had 15 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Brett Goodwin scored a career-high 36 points in host Powell County's 83-78 win in overtime against Anderson County in the Red River Classic.

Alex Trentman scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Bishop Brossart's 67-55 victory over the hosts in the Henry Clay Invitational.
