A Jackson County woman died Monday morning after being involved in a one-car accident.

Lida Abner, 72, of Annville was driving her Buick Regal south on Ky. 421 near Tyner in Jackson County about 10:20 a.m. when it left the road, struck a culvert and overturned, according to Kentucky State Police.

Abner was taken to St. Joseph London hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She was not wearing a seat belt, and alcohol did not play a role in the crash, the news release said.
