Madison County deputies search for man who led vehicle chase then ran off

Madison County deputies continued searching Thursday for a suspect who led them on a chase Wednesday.

A deputy attempted a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon near Madison Avenue and Irvine Street in Richmond, deputy Willard Reardon said in a news release. Bryan J. Robinson, 29, of Richmond, driving a white car, took off in his vehicle.

Robinson got out of the car on Union City Road and ran off. He is wanted on an arrest warrant for a parole violation. Robinson he will face fleeing and evading, and other traffic charges. He is wanted on other outstanding warrants, police said. Details were unavailable.

Two nearby Madison County schools, Glenn Marshall Elementary and B. Michael Caudill Middle School, were locked down during the pursuit. The lockdown was lifted shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
