Lexington police were investigating Saturday the stabbing of a 23-year-old man.

The man was found with serious injuries near Limestone Street and Chrysalis Court about 1:17 a.m. Saturday, said Lexington Police Lt. Mark Brand.

Brand said the man was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital. No additional information was immediately available.

WKYT-TV reported that the man was a University of Kentucky student who was on his way home after leaving a bar, but Brand said he could not confirm those details.
