A 21-year-old woman was killed early Sunday when her car ran off U.S. 460 in Scott County, authorities said.

Scott County Coroner John Goble identified the victim as Emilee Caroleanne Higgs of Scott County. Higgs, who was alone in the car, died at the scene, Goble said.

She was not wearing a seat belt, the coroner said.

The Scott County Sheriff's Department said in a news release that Higgs was traveling west on U.S. 460 near the Ky. 227 intersection just before 5 a.m. when her 2005 Ford Focus went out of control and struck an embankment.

The car flipped twice, according to the coroner.

Goble said Higgs worked for Domino's and kept a magnetic Domino's sign attached to the roof of her car. Goble said, however, that authorities didn't think Higgs was working at the time of the crash.

They think she was on her way home, he said.

Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown is in change of arrangements.

The crash remains under investigation, the sheriff's department said.
