Former policy analyst Amanda Mays Bledsoe to run for Urban County Council

Amanda Mays Bledsoe, a former policy analyst with the Council of State Governments, has filed to run for the 10th District seat on Lexington's Urban County Council. The seat is held by council member Harry Clarke.

Bledsoe, a first-time candidate, has taught at Midway College and at Bluegrass Community and Technical College, and she volunteers for a number of community and faith-based organizations.

She has already raised $19,580 to date, according to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.
