Lexington man indicted on murder, other charges

A Lexington man was indicted on murder and other charges Tuesday.

Henry Stacy, 40, is accused of killing Tom Rogers, 74, on Nov. 8. Rogers' wife found him beaten and stabbed at their home on the 1200 block of Tishoff Drive in Lexington. He was rushed to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to court documents, Stacy went throughout the home and took cash, jewelry and a weapon that he sold for drugs.

Stacy also was indicted on charges of first-degree armed robbery, tampering with physical evidence and being a persistent felon.

Stacy's arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 23. He was being held at the Fayette County Detention Center on $23,000 bond.
