Georgetown police are searching for a teenager who went missing Monday.

Sgt. Jason Bruner said a 17-year-old girl was reported as a runaway around 2:30 p.m. He said the investigation is ongoing and information is limited.

As of Thursday afternoon, Bruner said detectives were investigating a lead that placed the girl using the Internet in Ashland, Huntington, W.Va., and Ironton, Ohio. Information about the teenager was sent to the police agencies in those areas, he said.

According to the police department's Facebook page, the girl is Ashley Taylor Britton, and she was last seen at Wal-Mart and Kroger in Georgetown. She is about 6 feet tall, weighing 230 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair. Britton may be driving her blue 2002 Infinity G20 with the license plate number 032AFG.

Anyone with information may call Georgetown police at (502) 863-7826.
