Lexington police continue to investigate a Sunday night shooting in which three men were wounded.

Lt. Clay Combs said one man was shot in the chest and shoulders, resulting in life-threatening injuries. As of Monday night, Combs had no update on the man's condition. The other two men had injuries that were not life-threatening or were minor. Their names have not been released.

Police received a call just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday about shots fired on the 700 block of Florence Avenue, which is off Georgetown Street.

Combs said the men had been standing outside when a dark blue or black "boxy passenger vehicle" pulled up; multiple shots were fired from inside the vehicle before it fled the scene. He said that police recovered a slew of shell casings and that the investigation has been turned over to the robbery/homicide unit.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call police at (859) 258-3600.
