Bowling: Lexington tournament entry deadline extended

Special to the Herald-LeaderFebruary 1, 2014

Cory Gillespie and Melinda Craig paced a week that was short on scoring because of the weather.

Gillespie rolled a 789 in the Strike Force League, highlighted by a 279 game. Craig posted a 762 in the 600 Club League and paced the set with a 268 game.

■ Officials of the Greater Lexington USBC extended the entry deadline for this year's tournaments because of weather. The entry deadline is now Feb. 8.

Entry forms are available at all area bowling centers for both the 74th Greater Lexington USBC Tournament and the 69th Greater Lexington USBC Women's Tournament.

Both events will be held at Collins Bowling Centers-Southland on Feb. 15-16 and Feb. 22-23. The entry fee is $ 22 per bowler per event.
