Alcohol believed to be a factor in fatal Casey County crash

February 1, 2014

Alcohol is believed to have been factor in a crash Friday in Casey County that killed one man, according to Kentucky State Police.

Michael Beal, 26, of Hustonville was driving a 2005 Suzuki on U.S. 127 when Marvin J. Lee, 49, of Liberty, who was driving south in a 1989 Toyota pickup truck, crossed into the northbound lane and hit Beal, according to a news release.

Beal was pronounced dead at the scene. Lee was airlifted to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said. The wreck happened 2 miles north of Liberty.
