Paul Prabell, George Rabe, Dorothy Swintosky, as well as the late: William E. Cotter, Robert H. Hillenmeyer, Joan Lassanske, Rita McMahon and Connie Wilson. The other SFM honoree is Catholic Charities employee Gwen Hall, who marks a quarter century of employment with the agency this year. Hall, a licensed clinical social worker, manages the CCDL's Prestonsburg office.

A dinner to honor the award recipients will be Feb. 20 in Hehman Hall at the Cathedral of Christ the King. Cost to attend the awards dinner is $40 per person. To purchase tickets, contact Cindy Mitchell at Catholic Charities, (859) 253-1993, Ext. 214, or go to Catholiccharitieslexington.org.

■ Local veterinarian practice manager Jessica Hicks of Village Animal Hospital has been chosen as one of three finalists for Petplan pet insurance's 2014 Practice Manager of the Year Award. Petplan, a company that insures nearly 150,000 dogs and cats across the country, picked the three finalists from a field of more than 3,100 nominations submitted by pet owners across the country.
