Nicholasville man jailed on child-pornography charges

A Nicholasville man faces charges after a police search found material related to child sexual exploitation, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.

Jeffery Treadway, 35, is charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Treadway was charged after an FBI agent in Colorado used an account belonging to someone arrested on child-sex charges to contact others possibly interested in the sexual exploitation of children.

Police seized electronic equipment from Treadway's residence on Orchard Drive. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected. Treadway was being held at the Jessamine County Detention Center on $10,143.00 bond. His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 10.
