A registered sex-offender who was wanted by police was arrested Thursday night while getting his stereo worked on at Best Buy.

Robert Estes, 28, who is charged with failing to comply with the sex-offender registry, was recognized by someone who saw him in this week's gallery of Lexington's Most Wanted, a service of the Office of the Fayette County Sheriff and the Herald-Leader.

Estes was designated as this week's "featured fugitive" on Kentucky.com and later on a segment for WKYT-TV.

Maj. Jay Pittman of the Fayette County sheriff's office said they received a call after 5 p.m. Thursday from someone who said Estes "was getting his car stereo worked on at Best Buy."

"Sure enough, he was," Pittman said.

Deputies arrested Estes without any problems, Pittman said.
