The UK football team will hold its "junior day" activities this weekend, marking the unofficial kickoff to the recruiting cycle for the class of 2015.
A little more than a week removed from national signing day, the UK coaches are set to host more than 20 of their top recruiting targets for next year's class.
The highlight of the weekend will be a trip to Rupp Arena for the UK basketball team's game against No. 3 Florida. Visiting recruits will also be treated to a tour of the program's facilities, as well as meetings with members of the UK coaching and training staff.
Several in-state stars are expected to be on campus, including Madison Southern running back Damien Harris, Warren East linebacker Eli Brown, Warren Central linebacker Emmitt Smith and Lexington Catholic quarterback Reese Ryan. Those are the top four uncommitted juniors in the state, according to Rivals.com.
Henderson County offensive lineman Mason Wolfe, who has a UK offer, is also expected to attend.
Top recruiting targets Nick Conner and George Brown are among several standout players from Ohio who are expected to make the trip.
UK has signed the nation's No. 17 recruiting class for 2014, which is the program's first Top 25 group since Rivals.com started publishing rankings online in 2002. The class includes 10 four-star prospects, four of the state's top five recruits and 11 players from Ohio.
