Dezerea Bryant entered Friday as the as the nation’s premier sprinter, having posted the nation’s fastest 60-meter time and the world’s fastest 200 meters earlier this season. Her performance Friday backed that up.

Bryant navigated three rounds of 60-meter heats at the nation’s deepest meet for sprinters this weekend, the Arkansas Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville.

She won the championship finals in 7.16 seconds, lowering her nation’s best time by .03 seconds. Bryant’s personal best sits just .01 second outside the all-time collegiate top-10.

Also at the Tyson Invitational, LSU’s Jasmin Stowers edged UK’s Kendra Harrison in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 8.03. Harrison ran 8.04 and Baylor’s Tiffani McReynolds was third (8.05).
