Dezerea Bryant entered Friday as the as the nations premier sprinter, having posted the nations fastest 60-meter time and the worlds fastest 200 meters earlier this season. Her performance Friday backed that up.
Bryant navigated three rounds of 60-meter heats at the nations deepest meet for sprinters this weekend, the Arkansas Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville.
She won the championship finals in 7.16 seconds, lowering her nations best time by .03 seconds. Bryants personal best sits just .01 second outside the all-time collegiate top-10.
Also at the Tyson Invitational, LSUs Jasmin Stowers edged UKs Kendra Harrison in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a time of 8.03. Harrison ran 8.04 and Baylors Tiffani McReynolds was third (8.05).
