■ The Kentucky Horse Park has launched an improved website,,, which provides users with an optimal experience regardless of the device they use to access the site — smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. The website also features a cleaner look that facilitates easier navigation.

The site serves a variety of user groups including tourists and travel industry professionals, equine competitors, special event visitors, horse show managers and other facility lessees, campers, equine researchers and history buffs and is designed with a fresh, uncluttered look that is optimized for search engines.

The website is designed and maintained by Trifecta, an award-winning, Lexington-based design, development and marketing agency that has worked with the park since 2012. Trifecta is also redesigning the park's companion websites, the International Museum of the Horse ( and the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation (, both expected to debut this winter.

■ Allstate Insurance Co. has expanded with the addition of the Paul Maupin to its agency force. Maupin owns and operates The Maupin Insurance and Financial Services in Winchester, a full-service agency that offers an auto, property, commercial and life insurance, long-term care and annuities. Staples has opened its new omnichannel store in Frankfort at 1303 U.S. 127 South, Space 5. This store is equipped with kiosks so customers and small business owners can shop from more than 100,000 items on The expanded product assortment includes cleaning and break room supplies, technology, medical and restaurant supplies.
