Inbound Alumni Drive reopened after slick conditions prompt closing

February 18, 2014

A portion of inbound Alumni Drive was closed temporarily Tuesday morning because of collisions blamed on slick conditions, according to the Lexington traffic management center.

After a few minutes, the road between Squires Road and Man o' War Boulevard was reopened with police present to slow traffic until slick conditions changed, the traffic center said on its website.

Drivers were warned to be extra cautious because of ice patches. Several collisions were reported around the city.
