A man charged with murder in connection with a shooting outside a strip club has been brought back to Lexington.

The Fayette County sheriff's office said in a news release that it brought Tevin Wright back to Lexington from Muncie, Ind., on Friday.

Wright, 23, is accused of shooting Curtis Simmons, 33, outside Divas Gentlemen's Club on Russell Cave Road early Nov. 13.

Police said there was an altercation inside the club that continued in the parking lot after the club closed. Simmons was shot multiple times, police said.

Wright was already being held in Indiana on unrelated charges when Lexington police filed a warrant in December charging him in connection with the shooting.

Wright is now being held in the Fayette County Detention Center. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Fayette District Court Monday on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.
