Best bets: Chamber Chorale: ‘The Profane and the Profound’

The Lexington Chamber Chorale presents The Profane and the Profound: Canciones of Spain at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church, 110 Wilson Downing Road. The evening will include Romancero Gitano, by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, with words by Federico Garcia Lorca and featuring guest guitarist Michael Fogler. Pieces by Tomas Luis de Victoria, Pablo Casals and Javier Busto will also be performed. Tickets are $20, $10 for students, available at the door or at Lexingtonchamberchorale.org  .

Documents star in One World film fest The One World Film Festival continues with free screenings of movies from around the world through March 8 at The Kentucky Theatre, 214 East Main Street. On tap this week is La Source, at 7 p.m. Thursday, a 2011 documentary about a Haitian janitor who returns to his country after the 2010 earthquake to bring clean water to his village.
