Dunbar fullback Pergram to walk on at Kentucky

February 28, 2014

Paul Laurence Dunbar senior fullback Cam Pergram announced Friday that he will be a preferred walk-on at Kentucky. Pergram said he visited UK last weekend, met the coaches and talked about wanting to be part of the Cats' rebuilding process.

Pergram, listed at 5-foot-10, 200 pounds on Dunbar's roster, had 123 carries for 678 yards and eight touchdowns last fall. He had 21 carries for 229 yards and three TDs in a win over Bryan Station.

Pergram is the third Lexington high school player who will walk on at UK next season, joining Lexington Catholic receiver David Bouvier and Tates Creek punter Jake Ryan.
