A woman from Paris died in a single-vehicle wreck within a mile of her home early Saturday.

Linda Evans, 59, was driving on Cane Ridge Road when her car went off the side of the road and she overcorrected, hitting a tree, Bourbon County Deputy Coroner Dee Gee Ison-Roe said.

The crash happened at about 2:30 a.m.

Evans had been wearing a seatbelt, and there was no alcohol involvement, Ison-Roe said.
