Second arrest made in 2003 Nicholas County slaying

A second man was arrested Monday in an 11-year-old murder case in Nicholas County. Joshua Abney, 34, of Carlisle, was arrested on Bald Hill Road by Kentucky State Police, according to a news release.

He has been charged with complicity to commit murder in the death of David Sadler and is being held in the Bourbon County Detention Center.

Shawn L. Fryman, 36, of Harrison County, was arrested in the case and charged with murder Wednesday.

Sadler was found dead of a single gunshot wound to the head at his home in Carlisle on March 31, 2003.
