New Next Cats football recruiting page breaks down Stoops' 2015 football targets

March 4, 2014

Coming off a top-20 national recruiting class and focused on rebuilding the UK football program, Coach Mark Stoops and his assistants are looking ahead to what they hope is another stellar group of signees in 2015.

There are more than 100 high school football players on UK's radar for the next recruiting class. Some of those players are nearby — like Madison Southern running back Damien Harris and Warren East linebacker Eli Brown. Many more are from out of state, as Stoops and company are likely to have continued recruiting success over the next few months in places like Ohio and Florida.

Harris, Brown and several other top UK targets visited Lexington late last month for the program's junior day festivities, and those players and many other recruits will be back in town throughout the year.

The Cats already have two commitments — defensive backs Montrell Custis of Georgia and Marcus Walker of Florida — in what is expected to be a full 25-player class for 2015.

To keep track of UK's top recruits, check out the Class of 2015 targets page on the new Next Cats football recruiting website.
