UK sports: Track, swim athletes invited to NCAAs

■ Kentucky will have 10 entries at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Track Championships. For the women, Dezerea Bryant will enter in the 60 meters and 200 meters; Kendra Harrison will enter in the 60 meters and 60-meters hurdles; Allison Peare will enter in the mile; and Kayla Parker and Leah Nugent will enter in the 60-meters hurdles. The women also qualified for the 4x400 meter relay; the available runners include Morganne Phillips, Sha'Keela Saunders, Kenyattia Hackworth, Bryant, Harrison and Nugent.

On the men's side, Matt Hillenbrand will participate in the mile, while Bradley Szypka will enter in shot put.

■ Three UK swimmers were invited to the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Juniors Christina Bechtel and Abby Myers, along with freshman Danielle Galyer, will represent the Wildcats in Minneapolis from March 20-22.
