Learn about memory loss or behavioral changes at a program about Alzheimer's disease in Nicholasville from 1 to 2 p.m. April 7. Early detection allows those affected a chance to enroll in drug therapy and clinical studies and to plan for the future. Heirloom tomato workshop Thursday

The Jessamine County Public Library is sponsoring an Heirloom Tomato Workshop at 7 p.m. Thursday. The program will be presented by AppalSeeds and will cover starting plants from seed, transplanting and saving seeds from year to year. Every participant will receive six packets of tomato seeds, including locally grown varieties. Register online at or call (859) 885-3523.
