Woodford County notes: Mar. 11

Donation helps defray costs of Scout project Boy Scout R.J. Kral was presented with a check by Woodford County Heritage Committee President Phyllis Mattingly on Feb. 18 at the Jack Jouett House Historic Site. The donation helped defray the cost of materials for five picnic tables and three outdoor benches, which were built by Boy Scout Troop No. 14 Scouts as part of R.J.'s Eagle Scout service project.

Volunteers needed for Francisco's Farm Arts Festival

Francisco's Farm Arts Festival returns to Midway College on May 17-18 and organizers of the festival are in need of volunteers for pre-festival jobs and during the festival weekend.

The majority of volunteers will be needed May 16-18, setting up booths, unpacking and unloading artwork, directing traffic, driving golf carts, delivering water to artists, assisting at children's art projects booths, providing information at festival entrances and tearing down the event.
