Garrard County leaders rallied Wednesday to show their support for 7-year-old Wyatt Fielder.
When Wyatt lost his hair due to non-Hodgkin lymphoma, various political and civic leaders decided to raise money to help the Fielder family with medical expenses.
And as part of the effort, the leaders agreed to shave their heads to let Wyatt know it's okay to be bald.
So the hair came tumbling down Wednesday afternoon at Garrard County High School gym.
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a cancer that develops in the lymphatic system from cells called lymphocytes, which are a type of white blood cell that helps the body fight infections.
