Winchester man killed in Saturday’s I-65 accident

The name of the operator of the 2001 Kenworth tractor trailer who died as a result of the collision that occurred on Saturday, has been identified as Terry Black, 44, of Winchester, according to Kentucky State Police. Black was pronounced dead on the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office but his name was released Sunday.

Black was traveling south on I-65 south when he struck the back end of a 2006 JAJ Transportation Freightliner tractor trailer operated by Jose Rodriguez, 34, of Leigh Acres, Fla.

The collision caused the 2001 Kenworth to burst into flames killing the driver. Rodriguez was taken to the Medical Center at Bowling Green for observation, the KSP reports. The investigation is still ongoing.
