Man stabbed on Atokad Park; Lexington police seek assailant

Lexington police were looking for a man accused of stabbing another man Tuesday morning on Atokad Park.

Police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said a man was stabbed just before 7 a.m. in the 1200 block of Atokad Park, not far from Centre Parkway. He suffered wounds to the torso and arm.

Police said the man was assaulted by Edward Pointer. Pointer, a black man who is about 5-foot-3, was last seen wearing a dark sweater and dark pants. He faces an assault charge, police said.
