A Lexington man was indicted Tuesday on nearly a dozen charges, including murder, stemming from a January police chase.

Keenan McLaughlin, 22, is accused of killing Luis Gonzalez, 62, in a crash on Georgetown Road at Kearney Road Jan. 14.

After the crash, police say McLaughlin led police on a high speed chase from Scott County to Fayette County before hiding out in a house for several hours. He was arrested just before 7 a.m. at a house on East Second Street.

In addition to murder, McLaughlin also was indicted on charges of first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree in trafficking a controlled substance, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid with death or serious physical injury, receiving stolen property (under $10,000), receiving stolen property (firearm), second-degree fleeing or evading police, possession of dug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle on a suspended license and failure to report an accident.

McLaughlin was being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
