Second person dies from injuries in January crash on Georgetown Road

A second person has died from injuries obtained from a crash in mid-January on Georgetown Road.

Geneva Rose Spencer, 38, was pronounced dead at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital Tuesday morning, according to a release from the Fayette County Coroner's office. She died of blunt force trauma.

Spencer was riding in a car that was being driven by Luis Gonzalez, 62, on Georgetown Road at Kearney Ridge Road. Gonzalez died in the crash. WKYT-TV, the Herald-Leader's television partner, reported that Spencer had been in the hospital since the crash.

Keenan McLaughlin, 22, is accused of killing Gonzalez, 62, in the crash on Georgetown Road at Kearney Road Jan. 14. He was indicted Tuesday on murder and 10 other charges.

Commonwealth's Attorney Ray Larson said a grand jury will be presented new developments next week.
