Take Back the Night, a march and rally to end violence, is Wednesday.

Starting at 7 p.m. participants will walk from three locations — Thoroughbred Park, the University of Kentucky’s Patterson Office Tower and Third Street Stuff — to the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza, 120 North Limestone.

The rally begins at 7:30 p.m. and will feature speakers, live music, a candlelight vigil, giveaways and more. If it rains, the event will move to Central Christian Church, 205 East Short Street.

Home and garden show next weekend

Check out the latest in gardening, home design and more at the 39th annual Central Kentucky Home, Garden and Flower Show at Rupp Arena. Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $8, $6 for seniors, free for ages 16 and younger. For more info, go to CKYhomeshow.com.
