The public is encouraged to give input on an area transportation plan for Fayette and Jessamine counties that will set goals and funding. A public hearing will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Public Library on Main Street in conference room B.

A second public hearing will be held Thursday at the Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce in Nicholasville, 508 North Main Street.

More than 2,000 people responded to a public survey in 2013 that helped develop the plan that is updated every five years. The plan was developed by the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization the transportation planning agency for Fayette and Jessamine counties.
