Lexington police are looking for a man who robbed a Speedway gas station early Thursday morning on Winchester Road.

The robber entered the station at 900 Winchester Road about 12:15 a.m., implied that he had a weapon, and then fled after taking an undetermined amount of cash, Lexington Police Lt. Mark Brand said.

Brand said K-9 officers tried to pick up the man's trail but were unsuccessful.

The robber was described as a stocky white man with a beard, wearing either a gray or brown sweatshirt with white lettering.
