Madison Southern's Harris lists UK among top 10 schools

Madison Southern running back Damien Harris announced his top 10 college choices Friday, and Kentucky was on the list.

Harris — the No. 1 running back prospect in the class of 2015 — is also considering Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Southern Cal and Tennessee.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound prospect previously committed to Michigan before a change on their offensive coaching staff led him to decommit from the school. The Wolverines are still thought to be among his top choices. UK is considered a long shot for the No. 4 overall prospect in the class, but the Cats will continue to pursue him throughout the summer and his senior season.

Harris will not be able to sign with a school until February.

Rivals.com national analyst Mike Farrell tweeted Friday that a "good source" tells him that Florida, Ohio State, Alabama and Florida State are the top four for Harris, who visited Florida last weekend.
